International relations

.

As far as I think, translations and international relations are closely interlinked. I have gained widespread experience also in international relations.

In Cleveland, USA, I studied the situations and circumstances of the American Hungarian community as its active member. As the co-host of the American Hungarian Radio of Cleveland, I made book reviews about books written by American Hungarians and also edited the programs of the American Hungarian community. In addition, I made a presentation about the changes made since '56 to the American Hungarian community.

At the European Commission Directorate-General for Translation, where I worked as a translation intern, on one hand, I gained a deeper insight into the relationships between the Member States and international relations, on the other hand, as the member of the Communication Subcommittee founded by the interns, I wrote PR articles about Hungary.

As a research specialist, I was assigned by the Panta Rhei Social Research Group to make surveys on the life situations of xpats living in Hungary.

I am an active member of a Budapest-based multicultural community where I gain a deeper insight into and widespread viewpoints about the aspects of different cultures.

I consider that my exposure to different cultures and viewpoints enrich both the way I think about and perceive different phenomena and also my work.
